A photo book for Christmas 2026, and when to order it

Order by the date for the country the book is going to. It is the country of the delivery address that counts, not where you live.

These are the safe dates, not a promise. December is the busiest month of the year for carriers in every country we ship to, and we cannot guarantee an arrival date. If the date matters, order earlier.

Every date is counted back from Wednesday 23 December, one working day before Christmas Eve, so a parcel that runs a day late still arrives. The count is in business days, Monday to Friday, and adds up four things:

• Printing, 10 business days. Every book is printed to order by Lulu, our print partner. Lulu says printing can take up to 10 business days in the holiday season, so we count the longest.
• The courier. The courier time Lulu quotes for that country, between one and six business days.
• Our hold, 1 business day. Every order waits ten hours before it goes to print, which can cost a working day.
• December, 2 business days. Carriers are slower before Christmas, and a first delivery attempt can fail.

That is why the dates run from Thursday 26 November to Thursday 3 December, and why they are earlier than the usual 4 to 13 business days would suggest.

• The year in review. The family from January to December. Start a year in review book, choose the year, and it keeps to photos taken in that year.
• The grandchildren, for the grandparents. The photos they have mostly not seen. There is a guide to photo books for grandparents.

• The trip. The holiday everyone still talks about, start to finish.
• The animal. A book of the dog or the cat is a present people do not expect and tend to keep out.

Christmas is midwinter in the north and midsummer in New Zealand and Australia. The book of the year ends wherever your December does, by the fire or at the beach.

1. Upload the year

Upload from your phone or computer. Do not choose first. Bring everything from the year and let the choosing be done for you.

2. Say what the book is about

A year, a person, a trip. Photouria automatically organises your photos and groups the people in them, so choosing who or what takes a minute rather than an evening.

3. Read it and change what you like

The book arrives laid out in the order the photos were taken. Swap photos, remove pages, add captions, and put a title on the spine.

4. Order, and send it where it is going

The delivery address is whatever you enter at checkout, so a book can go straight to the person it is for. Order by the date for their country, not yours.

NZ$149 covers up to 30 photos, then NZ$10 for every 10 more, capped at NZ$219 from 91 photos up. Prices are in New Zealand dollars wherever the book is going, and shipping is included.

Photouria asks for a range of photos rather than an exact number: 24 to 30, 31 to 40, 41 to 60, 61 to 80, or 81 to 100, or a custom number up to 180. We ship to New Zealand, Australia, the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and most of Europe.

Then say so in the card. Build the book, order it, and on the day show them the finished book on your phone and tell them it is on its way. A book that arrives in the first week of January is still the present they keep. There is more on that in a last-minute plan.

Building is free, so the other option is to make the book in the quiet days after Christmas, with the Christmas photos in it, and give it at New Year or a birthday.

Every Photouria book is the same object: a Lulu linen hardcover, woven linen over hardcover boards, your title foil stamped on the spine, and a printed dust jacket over the top.
