How do you give a book that has not arrived yet?
On the day, open the finished book on your phone, page through it with them, and tell them it is being printed. Write the spine title in the card. People remember the moment of seeing it, and the book arrives later as a second present.
What if it absolutely has to be in their hands on the day?
Use a New Zealand printer with local production, which can be faster. Photouria books are printed to order by Lulu, a print company based in the United States, and sent by courier. Saying so now is better than a disappointing morning.
How do you make it tonight?

- Read the finished book and change anything you like.

Every Photouria book is the same object: a Lulu linen hardcover, woven linen over hardcover boards, your title foil stamped on the spine, and a printed dust jacket over the top. There are six sizes, from 14 × 22 cm up to A4 at 21 × 30 cm, and six linen colours. Inside, photos print on 80lb coated paper with a matte finish, and a book can run from 24 pages up to 800.
